Prince Harry and his sister-in-law Princess Kate were close at one point, seen commiserating at events, but things have changed since those earlier days and it’s being played out publicly.
Harry has been rowing with his brother, Prince William, his father, King Charles, but apparently, tensions are particularly strained with Kate, says an insider.
According to multiple reports, Kate and Meghan Markle haven’t spoken since 2018, even though they’ve appeared at events together, which may play a role in how Harry feels about and treats Kate.
At one point, Harry thought of Kate as “more sister” than “in-law” but since then, he’s had some choice words for his brother’s wife, and Kate can’t stand up for herself “because of palace protocol.”

According to an inside source, “Meghan and Harry have no qualms about publicly attacking the royals,” reports OK! magazine.
The source adds: ”And because palace protocol is to not respond, Kate can’t fight back.”
In Spare, Harry writes about Kate and Meghan’s differences, suggesting there was a rivalry between the two sister-in-laws and that Kate made Meghan cry over bridesmaid dresses.
And, it gets even more heated, with Harry saying in 2020, “I am patiently waiting for accountability. You know what you did, and I know why you did it. And you’ve been caught out, so just come clean,” and it’s being said, the statement was directd at Kate.
But it wasn’t just Harry who was doing the talking, Meghan chimed in during the 2021 Oprah interview, saying of Kate: “’It wasn’t a confrontation, and I actually think it’s… I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that, because she apologised.”
‘What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do but that happened to me.
Also, the ongoing rift is being blamed on Kate, with a source sayin to Yahoo!: “William is willing to extend an olive branch for the sake of the family, but Kate has drawn a hard line in the sand.”
“Forget about apologizing — she’ll never forgive Meghan and Harry. And if they push her too far, they’ll regret it.”
