King Charles might have waited almost an entire lifetime for the job which is probably why Prince William is looking to cut that time down in half.
There’s a new report that suggests the Prince of Wales is only interested in his future as his father, the King of England, prepares a plan to abdicate. At least, that’s what some royal experts are saying. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News: Prince William Is Hungry For The Throne
According to a new report, King Charles, who just celebrated his 75th birthday earlier in the month, has already prepared a plan to abdicate and pass the throne to his first-born son, Prince William.
Omid Scobie, who has a new book out called Endgame, says that Prince William is acting as though King Charles doesn’t exist because he has his own agenda for the throne.
And that agenda includes his own plans and ideas that supposedly don’t include his father.
Scobie writes in his book, “William acted as if Charles’s passion did not exist. The Prince of Wales can’t wait to ascend the throne. And a real impatience is created around him.”

In addition, royal expert Clive Irving has also chimed in with, “It may have already been surreptitiously planned that the King will abdicate when he’s 80.”
Now, whether or not this is true, no one really knows, but seeing how King Charles did wait an entire lifetime to be the king of England, there’s a slim chance that he’s going to give it all away to his power-hungry son.
After all, Queen Elizabeth managed to stay on the job until she was 95. As much as Prince William wants to be king of England, he’s just going to have to wait it out, regardless if it takes five, ten or even more years for King Charles to either pass away or hand over the keys to the throne.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
