While Todd and Julie Chrisley have been serving their prison sentences, not all of their children are on speaking terms.Savannah Chrisley is opening up about why she does not have a relationship with her older sister Lindsie or her older brother Kyle.
Their parents’ trial has something to do with it…
These family ties don’t bind!
Savannah Chrisley revealed why she does not have a relationship with her older siblings.
The 26-year-old opened up about Lindsie and Kyle Chrisley on Monday’s episode of the Old-ish podcast.
“My two oldest siblings are from my dad’s first marriage … over the years I feel like there’s been a lot of anger and resentment just over the fact that my parents were together [and] theirs weren’t,” Savannah told hosts Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Green.
Todd Chrisley shares Lindsie and Kyle with his ex-wife Teresa Terry.
His current wife Julie Chrisley is the mother of Savannah, Chase and Grayson. They also had custody of Kyle’s daughter Chloe before they went to prison.
According to Savannah, reality TV was not good for their family dynamic.
“Then when the show came about I feel like there was jealousy … there was a whole bunch of things that were involved,” she explained.
That’s not all though. The influencer also claimed that her older siblings helped the court prosecute the Chrisleys in their recent fraud trial.
“The oldest two were also involved in my parents’ criminal case … they worked with the government, there is a lot of proof to show that,” Savannah stated. “And so at that point, I’m done.”
The podcaster continued, “My loyalty is to my parents and to the people who have always been there for me and loved me and showed up for me. They’re not in the picture at all.”
She does not believe that she owes anything to Kyle and Lindsie.
“Just because you’re family doesn’t mean I have to be the punching bag or I have to take unhealthy behavior just because we’re blood-related,” Savannah declared.
The reality star does not seem to have any questions about her decision.
“I’m a firm believer that I have friends who have been better family to me than some of my own family members,” she detailed. “At the end of the day, the hurt didn’t start with me but it can stop with me.”
Lindsie has said that she does not want to discuss their falling out in the public eye.

Lindsie has said that she does not want to discuss their falling out in the public eye.
“I wanted to handle this situation privately or would be willing to handle the situation privately if she wanted to handle it privately,” explained the 34-year-old in an October episode of her podcast.
“I would be in agreement to do that because I never spoke first. In fact, going back to the issue of where this all started, I kind of took the blame for certain things that I shouldn’t have taken the blame publicly,” she detailed on Southern Tea. “I took that on this podcast myself just for it to go away and for there to be peace.”
Since Todd and Julie began serving time, the Chrisley family has undergone major changes in more ways than one.
During an episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Savannah opened up about having custody of Chloe and Grayson. She admitted that she feels guilty for not being there as often as she’d like when filming for Special Forces.
“It’s tough and I missed the first Father’s Day. I’m not there and that’s what sucks, not having that contact while I’ve been gone,” Savannah said.
Later on in the episode, Savannah got even more candid about just how hard things have been.
“With all due respect, you don’t know what it feels like to have both your parents in federal prison and having to take custody of a 10-year-old and 17-year-old, that’s the thing,” Savannah told fellow cast mates.
She added, “I feel like sh*t for not being there. I think just for the first time in my life, I actually love two people more than I love myself.”
Back in May, the former Chrisley Knows Best star admitted that she was trying her best to be a “good adult figure in their life” during an episode of her Unlocked podcast.
“It’s really hard being 25 and having two kids and trying to figure out what’s best for them because normally you get to grow from one to two to three to four, like, you get to grow through the ages,” Savannah said at the time.
“And now, I’m just being like thrown into it. And my life, it really is being put on hold,” the former Miss Tennessee Teen USA explained.
She referred to herself as a “bonus parent” to the two, but noted that nobody will ever be their true parents.
“I’m not their mom. I’m not their dad. I’m their sister and I get to love and guide them through life,” the Atlanta native said back in July.
“But these kiddos have shown me so much love, patience, grace, understanding, and appreciation! Helping to raise these two kiddos is the hardest but most rewarding job I will ever have,” she added.
Savannah credited her mom for teaching her the ways, writing, “Because of her I can do this!”
