Savannah Chrisley acknowledges that taking on The Bachelorette role would “generate controversy” – “It would be in their best interest to cast me.”
Savannah Chrisley’s dating life has been in the spotlight ever since she rose to fame on her family show, Chrisley Knows Best. The 26-year-old has dated a host of famous faces, including former NHL athlete Nic Kerdiles, who tragically passed away on September 23.
The real estate was also briefly linked to The Bachelor star Colton Underwood, who publically came out as gay in 2021. Colton and Savannah have remained friends and she may even follow his footsteps into the Bachelor Nation as she applied during a recent episode of her Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley podcast.
Savannah Chrisley admits The Bachelorette role would ‘create controversy’
On the September 12 podcast episode, Chase and Savannah completed each other’s profiles for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, respectively.
Chase, 27, was totally against the idea as he’s searching for a girl that’s not “trying to be famous”. Savannah joked that joining the dating show would give him a career boost as he’s not as famous as her.
Obviously, Savannah wasn’t able to walk away from the discussion without her brother sending off her application, which sounded more like a roast.
When completing the “Why would you like to be on the show?” question, Chase typed: “I [Savannah] would like to be on the show because all my relationships have been a s*** show and I’d finally like to find a man instead of a boy. I truly believe in true love even though my heart is cold.”
Yes, the application was actually sent off to ABC.
So did Savannah receive a response?
No, she hasn’t heard anything back but it’s only been one week since submission. It’s unknown if Savannah would actually accept an offer, but the entrepreneur admitted that it would be in ABC’s “best interest” if she was cast due to her celebrity status.
“I don’t want to say it to sound full of myself but I just think I would create a lot of controversy. Lord knows I’ve been in the press pretty frequently,” she said. “So, I personally think it would be in the best interest of The Bachelor and Bachelorette franchise to choose me.”
She’s now dating Robert Shiver
Don’t expect Savannah to appear on any dating show anytime soon; she’s currently in a relationship with former Auburn University football player Robert Shiver, 38.
He wasn’t drafted in the NFL but was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in 2009. Shiver isn’t in the public eye on the same level as her famous exes, but his name circulated online after he was allegedly the victim of a murder scheme by his wife, Lindsay Shiver.
Savannah spoke at length about her new romance after critics blasted her for dating a married man. The Shivers are currently in the middle of a divorce after Robert allegedly caught his wife having an affair, Fox News reports.
“I would never date an actively married person,” Chrisley clarified.
